Prepare a short conversation
Before searching, choose a small goal: introduce yourself, discuss a hobby or describe your city. A specific goal reduces silence and allows useful vocabulary repetition.
- Prepara tres preguntas abiertas.
- Ten a mano cinco palabras que quieras practicar.
- Explain your level without apologizing for mistakes.
- Suggest alternating languages if both are learning.
How to start the call
A direct opening avoids confusion: Hello, I'm practicing French. Would you like five minutes in French and five in English? The other person can accept, suggest another format or move on.
Correct respectfully
Ask whether they want corrections. Highlighting one or two useful patterns is better than interrupting every sentence. Type a word when spelling helps understanding.
Protect your privacy
Language practice does not require surnames, addresses, schools, workplaces or personal profiles. Use Next, block or report if a conversation becomes disrespectful.
